Chronic fatigue is a long-term feeling of exhaustion that does not subside even after good rest or adequate sleep. It usually lasts longer than 6 months.

Symptoms of chronic fatigue include headaches, reduced ability to concentrate, physical exhaustion, as well as sleep problems. The main differences between chronic, "classic" and spring fatigue can be found in its intensity, duration, and cause.

Chronic fatigue lasts for a long time. Unlike "normal" fatigue, it is not triggered by physical activity or an exhausting day. Its cause can be sought in psychological illnesses (depression, anxiety) or other illnesses (e.g. anemia).

Chronic fatigue requires comprehensive treatment.
